That is a very helpful visualization. Interestingly, seems like there are more "bad" kings than good ones. So much for the kings of God's people being role models.
Quite frankly, God was opposed to kings in the first place. He knew what would happen when power-hungry people got into powerful positions. God didn't really plan on having these guys be role models. And this also demonstrates the corrupting power of unchecked authority.
