1 Chronicles 21:1 - This seems to me the first mention of the name Satan. It took me by surprise because he hasn't been part of the conversation since early in Genesis as far as I recall. Am I forgetting something? And, yes, I realize I have fallen very far behind in my reading at this point. But I'm at least continuing.
Satan shows his face again in Job. He has some sort of contest of faith with God and Job as the puppet. I got lost about 1/2 way thru because I got tired of Job's pity party. So similar to what we often have ourselves or find in other people. I am also off track but plan on redeeming myself to some extent this week.
